Goals
Mediteo wants to replace the previous barcode scanner solution in its app. Users can scan the barcodes of their medications on the medication packaging and the federal medication plan to manage this information in the mediteo app.
Requirements
A high-quality barcode scanner solution for Android and iOS that recognizes barcodes and reliably reads barcodes even in low-light conditions with low-end devices. In addition, it must be able to read multiple barcode types (PZN, PPN, Data Matrix), including drug barcodes from countries such as France and Italy. The barcode scanner must work locally on the user's device.
Solution
With the integration of the Docutain Barcode Scanner SDK, mediteo users can scan 1D & 2D barcodes such as the PZN (Pharmazentralnummer) or the international PPN (Pharmacy Product Number) of medication packagings and the Data Matrix of the Federal Uniform Medication Plan. The scanned information on the medications can thus be managed securely in mediteo. Scanning is quick and easy for the user and reliably produces the desired result even in poor light.
