Goals
The SEEWARA team wants to equip their mobile app for Android and iOS with a high-quality scanning function so that receipts can be scanned and time-saving data extraction is possible as a basis for clients who are subject to accounting obligations. In addition, clients should be able to import existing PDF files into the app (e.g. as an attachment from an email) and extract recognized data from the PDF in order to load this information into the respective client account. Exclusively networked accountants can then assign the documents to an account in a central location to minimize effort.
Requirements
A professional and reliable scanning application with error-free OCR text recognition to optimize the process from scanning to uploading the recognized data to the cloud. The Scan & Data Extraction SDK should be a ready-to-use and offer flexible (German-speaking) customer service. The scanning and data extraction functions should work offline and comply with data protection regulations.
Solution
By integrating the Docutain SDK, SEEWARA GmbH is able to offer an app to capture accounting-relevant documents intuitively and in the highest quality in the shortest possible time. The receipt is scanned in a matter of seconds and optimally displayed thanks to perspective correction. The information contained in the scan is automatically recognized thanks to OCR and can be extracted. This saves manual, error-prone typing of data and speeds up the process for clients enormously. Docutain's reliable OCR text recognition ensures that documents, which are generally not structured in a standardized way, are scanned error-free and recognized automatically. After scanning, the extracted data can be sent directly to the cloud for account assignment. A user-friendly and intuitive process that allows companies of all kinds to focus on their core business.
